Nick's Birthday Ride

Come celebrate Nick's birthday on Saturday, 2/12/22, with a fun ride in the forest near Prescott!

The route we took was to go up to the Sierra Prieta overlook (AKA Skull Valley Overlook: https://goo.gl/maps/wVKFeTmypbSS7aSF9) via the Thumb Butte Loop Road (dirt road). Ebikes, gravel bikes, and mountain bikes are all capable and allowed to ride on this section. That section is a good climb at about 1000 feet of climbing over 4 miles, but feel free to go whatever speed you would like. We will all wait at the overlook for the entire group, so let someone know if you decide to turn back or take a different route at any point so we don't go looking for you. From the lookout, we will ride back down and take a variety of singletrack trails that are best suited for regular mountain bikes (no ebikes are allowed on non-motorized use USFS singletrack). My plan is to return to White Rock Trailhead at 1pm or so and head to mexican food afterwards with anyone who would like to join me.
